App: Contacts: Caller ID & Blocker Effective date: August 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Contacts: Caller ID & Blocker ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). The App helps you manage your contacts, identify incoming callers, and block unwanted calls and spam. By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, the App may process the following information:
- Contacts data – contact names and phone numbers stored on your device, used to display, organize, merge, and back up your contacts.
- Call information – your device's call log and incoming call numbers, used to show call history, identify callers, and block unwanted numbers.
- Spam reports – phone numbers you report or block as spam, together with a device identifier, used to operate the blocking feature.
- Device and usage data – device model, operating system version, device identifiers, language, and general usage statistics (features used and how often), used for analytics and app improvement.
Sensitive data such as your contacts and call logs is processed on your device. We do not sell this data, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy.
2. Permissions We Use
To provide its features, the App may request permissions including: Contacts (read/write) to display and manage your contacts; Phone and Call Log to identify and block callers and show call history; Camera to add contact photos; and Notifications to alert you about blocked calls. Each permission is requested only when needed for a feature, and you can revoke any permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking a permission may limit the related feature.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information described above only to provide the App's features (contact management, caller identification, call blocking, backup and duplicate detection), to maintain and improve the App, to fix bugs and crashes, to understand overall usage through analytics, and to keep the spam-blocking feature effective. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. Analytics, Advertising, and Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect information as described in their own privacy policies, including:
- Google Play Services
- Firebase (analytics and crash reporting)
- Google Analytics
- Google AdMob (advertising)
Ad networks may use your advertising ID to serve ads, including personalized ads where permitted; you can opt out of personalized advertising in your device settings. We encourage you to review these providers' privacy policies, as we do not control how they process data.
5. Links to Other Sites
The App may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
6. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information processed through the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Consent and Your Controls
By using the App and granting permissions, you consent to the processing described in this policy. You stay in control at all times: you can manage or revoke permissions in your device settings, edit or delete your contacts, disable backup or sync features, and uninstall the App at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where the law of your region sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below.
9. Data Privacy Compliance (EU, US & Switzerland)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under applicable data protection law (such as the GDPR), including the rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent. Residents of certain US states have similar rights under their state privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
10. Data and Account Deletion
The App does not currently require you to create an account. Data stored on your device (contacts, call history, block lists) can be deleted through the App or by uninstalling it. To request deletion of any data we may hold (such as spam reports linked to your device identifier), contact us at the email below and we will act on the request within a reasonable time.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
